1. Game Dates and Times – The game dates and times will not be changed without the mutual consent of the two teams involved. However, the home team is responsible for determining if a game should be cancelled due to weather or field conditions. It is strongly recommended that both teams begin a dialogue early in the day should weather possibly be a factor in whether or not a game may have to be rescheduled. Should a game be postponed, the UIL rules governing rescheduling games will be followed. 2. Game Lengths – Varsity games will be 80 minutes in length. Junior Varsity games will be 70 minutes in length BUT must be concluded by 6:30pm if it is being played on the same field. Junior Varsity halves should be shortened ahead of time if there appears to be a problem. Games suspended due to weather will be completed on the same night if possible. If not, NFHS rules regarding game replay or completion will be followed. ALL games ending in a tie after regulation, will remain a tie. 3. Game Balls – Game balls must be size 5, primarily white, and approved by the referee. There should be a minimum of three game balls available to keep play moving. 4. Home Team Responsibilities – Home team must supply ball shaggers for the game. A minimum of two ball shaggers is required. 5. Games ending in a draw – ALL Varsity, matches ending in a tie will remain a tie. Junior Varsity matches ending in a tie will remain a tie. 6. 8. In the event of a three way or more tie for fourth, straight coin flips with the odd team claiming the fourth play-off spot. 10. Home Team: Light Color 11. Officials – Brazos Valley Referee Chapter is the only approved chapter for district games. A three man system is to be used. Should less than three officials show up to do a VARSITY match, BOTH schools must agree to go ahead and play or the match will be rescheduled following UIL weather rescheduling policies. Once the game has begun, no protest will be allowed in regards to the number of officials used in the game. Timekeepers must be paid and may NOT be a parent of a soccer player playing at either school, may NOT be a former soccer player at either school and may NOT be a current student at either school. 12. All-District Selection – The all-district selection meeting (boys & girls) will be at Magnolia West HS, regardless of who wins district (b & g), the meeting will take place Wednesday, March 24, unless there are teams with a play-off conflict. In the event of a conflict, the teams still remaining in the play-offs will reschedule around their games. |
